Arby’s is a fast food restaurant with more than 3,400 locations. It is recognized for its roast beef and beef ‘n cheddar sandwiches, deli-style sandwiches, curly fries, and Jamocha shakes. The company stated it picked locations that have been near to actual duck hunting locations.
Last fall Arby’s served venison and elk sandwiches in a variety of restaurants during hunting season. “Many in our guests enjoy hunting, so we launched the ‘It’s Meats Season’ campaign a couple of years ago behind our Venison Sandwich,” said Jim Taylor, chief marketing officer for Arby’s. “As a nod to our own duck-hunting guests, our company is proud to provide this excellent Seared Duck Breast sandwich to a limited number of markets in the major fowl flyways.”
The first 10 guests who order the sandwich at each location will even get an Arby’s duck hunting camouflage hat. The brothers weren’t exactly sure what type of food they desired to serve whenever they left their jobs as restaurant equipment suppliers to adhere to the fast food trend. These people were inspired late one night with a summer beach resort in Massachusetts. Even though it was dark and rainy, people were waiting in line for roast beef in a place called Kelly’s. The Raffels decided roast beef was the ideal anqzcl niche in the current fast food landscape. But while McDonalds was selling hamburgers for 15 cents, Arby’s roast beef sandwiches-among just a couple things on the menu-was a lot more than four times that amount, at 69 cents. The brothers hoped that slightly higher-end restaurants would have more of an adult crowd.
